IG-Fashion Final Conference – Timișoara, April 16, 2025
On April 16, 2025, Timișoara hosted the concluding conference of the IG-Fashion project, bringing together educators, students, and industry professionals from across Europe. The event featured presentations of project outcomes, insights from partner countries, and a panel discussion on “Fashion Innovation as New Opportunities for Fashion Graduates.” Attendees explored sustainable practices, digital tools, and the future of fashion education. The conference underscored the project’s commitment to fostering innovation and sustainability in the fashion industry.

CNPCD hosts national webinars with industry experts and fashion students in Romania
As part of the IG-Fashion piloting and outreach activities, CNPCD organized a national webinar in Romania bringing together fashion students, educators, and industry experts to discuss the future of sustainability in the textile and fashion sector.
Held in April, the events provided a platform for dialogue on the opportunities and challenges of integrating green practices, EU legislation, and digital innovation into education and daily business.

IG-Fashion Project Presentation in the Netherlands
On April 10, Connect College in Echt hosted the IG-Fashion Multiplier Event, a key dissemination activity of the Erasmus+ project IG-Fashion – Towards an Intelligent and Green Approach in VET Fashion Design. The event brought together students and teachers for an interactive afternoon dedicated to innovation, sustainability, and digital transformation in fashion education. Participants were introduced to the project’s core results, including the AI-powered IG-Fashion platform, innovative teaching materials, and tools developed to support intelligent and eco-conscious design practices. The program featured a hands-on exploration of the platform, group discussions on key takeaways, and a creative brainstorming session where students developed ideas for sustainable fashion designs. To ensure meaningful engagement, the program was delivered twice in smaller groups, allowing for active participation and in-depth exchange. The event concluded with an open Q&A session, reinforcing the collaborative spirit of the IG-Fashion initiative. The Multiplier Event highlighted how technology and sustainability can reshape the future of fashion—and how VET schools can lead the way.

IG-Fashion Project Presentation in Greece
On March 28th, the IG-Fashion project was presented in a national event hosted at Athens’ VET school IEK AKMI. The event brought together 20 people to learn about how the IG-Fashion platform and its AI chatbot can assist sustainable practices in fashion creation and training. Attendees, including VET teachers and students, experimented with the tools and talked about the importance of digital innovation in crafting a greener future for the fashion industry. The event was a successful step in expanding the project’s reach and effect in Greece.

Great Success for the IG-Fashion Dissemination Event in Rome
On 13 February 2025, IIS Alberti” in Rome hosted the dissemination event for the IG-Fashion project (2022-1-RO01-KA220-VET-000088993). The event brought together institutional representatives, schools, fashion industry professionals, and international organisations to celebrate the project’s achievements and explore its future potential.
The programme began with institutional greetings from Vincenzo Lenzoni (Principal of IIS “Alberti”), Marina Pacetti (President of CONFAO), and Mariano Angelucci (City Councillor of Rome and President of the XII Permanent Commission on Tourism, Fashion, and International Relations). Their remarks highlighted the importance of IG-Fashion as a symbol of innovation in the fashion industry.
One of the key highlights was the presentation of eco-friendly garments created by participating schools. These garments showcased the creative use of sustainable materials and techniques, demonstrating the talent and dedication of the students.
Emma Szilagyi, the project coordinator from CNPCD, emphasised the significance of the international partnership, while Maria Teresa Ciaffaroni from CONFAO outlined the goals and outcomes of the IG-Fashion project. The event also included a presentation by Annalisa Contu from EFFEBI, who introduced the platform and chatbot developed to support sustainable fashion initiatives.
A special segment was dedicated to testimonials from schools and industry professionals, who shared their experiences and insights, further enriching the discussion on sustainability and innovation in fashion.
In addition to IG-Fashion, the event highlighted other Erasmus+ projects where CONFAO is an active partner. This presentation offered participants a broader view of impactful initiatives supported by CONFAO.
The event concluded with closing remarks by Angela Picca (CONFAO), who thanked all participants and reaffirmed the importance of collaboration in building a sustainable future. The IG-Fashion dissemination event was a resounding success, strengthening the commitment to sustainability and innovation in the fashion sector.

IG-FASHION at JOB Orienta 2023

On the occasion of the annual JOB Orienta 2023 event, held in Verona from 22 to 25 November, which attracts lots of Italian students and teachers, as well as international exhibitors, we carried out extensive dissemination of the IG-Fashion Project.
To do so, we prepared a brochure that was distributed to numerous visitors.
The Project aroused keen interest, the students in particular asked significant questions, a sure sign of the relevance the issues addressed by the Project has for them. In fact, both fashion and artificial intelligence are attractive topics for young people and are meant to shape their future in many ways.
